17. The eyepiece end of the 5 inch Alvan Clark refractor that serves as finder scope for the 20 inch. The inscribed script reads in full: "Alvan Clark & Sons, 1882, Cambridgeport, Mass." A "Telrad" unit has been added atop the main barrel.
