Fun Stuff

 Welcome!

The Traumatic Stress Studies (TSS) Group, directed by Anne P. DePrince, Ph.D., is part of the Psychology Department at the University of Denver.  In these pages, you will  meet our team members and collaborators, as well as read out current research and access full-text publications.

The TSS Group conducts research on the consequences of trauma, with particular emphasis on violence exposure.  We examine the emotional and cognitive correlates of interpersonal violence, such as sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse, and family violence.  Our research draws on multiple methodologies (e.g., laboratory cognitive tasks, clinical interviews, survey methodology), as well as theories from diverse psychological perspectives.  We work with both children and adults.

Welcome to our bustling offices!

Why the Utah arch above?  The arch is an image that reminds us of the connections between research, practice, and human experience that guide our research. And Canyonlands National Park is one of Anne's favorite places!
