I've found a lot of journal articles but I need the sources of data (hard numbers, specific answers to survey questions, etc) in order to run a regression analysis for class. If I'm not able to find hard data specifically linked to this topic, I would be interested in finding data relating to depression rates or happiness rates, etc. to use in comparison with the rise of pet ownership of companion animals in this country during the last 30-50 years. Thank you. Friday, May 15, 2009

Question: I'm involved in a group project for my international business class about a company called Globex LLC. The company provides security for corporate executives and wealthy individuals. They're basically bodyguards who have secret service, military, or government backgrounds. In addition to that they can act as a personal concierge, and help customers with things like coordinating their travel plans. Do you know where I could find general information on the bodyguard/security industry as a whole? I'm looking for a general overview of the industry. I haven't had much luck so far consulting traditional sources like Standard & Poors, Valueline, etc., because the industry is so specialized. I've also checked numerous databases and magazines on the Penrose and Denver Public Library websites, and I can't really find anything other than a random article here and there. There aren't many books on the industry, and when I do find something, it's typically “The Bodyguard” movie, some fictional book about a bodyguard, or an old book on bodyguard techniques. I've checked the internet many a time, and the search typically gives me results pertaining to some small company that provides bodyguards or a bodyguard training school. Do you have any advice or insight on where I could find information on this industry? Thank you for your help.

Question: I'm researching how the media (live news broadcasts, internet news, televisions, radio, etc.) have effected and can effect diplomacy and foreign policy. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for all of your help!
