Note: all sources used in your answers must be from online U.S. federal documents. Don't just give me numbers, also provide the soure (with URL) you used to find the answers.

You will get frustrated very quickly if you just start trying to answer these questions using Google I recommend that you start with Fedstats, Statistical Abstract of the United States, or possibly usa.gov. An effective use of Google would be to first try to find the federal agency likely to issue the statistics you are looking for.

1. How does the school enrollment rate in the U.S. in 1850 compare with that in 1950?

2. How many passengers flew out of DIA in 2000? [source must be a U.S. federal document or website]. Hint: two agencies have these statistics, you only need to find the answer from one of the agencies.

3. From the 94th Congress through the 110th Congress, which years were the Democrats in the majority in the House? In the Senate?

4. Which county in Colorado had the most planted acres of wheat in 2007? How many acres?

You don't have to do Q5 or Q6!

5. Using the 2002 Economic Census, How does Colorado rank among other states in terms of "Casinos - except Casino Hotels" [i.e., print out table comparing all states]. Now do the same thing for the 1997 Economic Census.

What NAICS code would you use for the same topic, but "Casino Hotels"?

6. How many people in the 80210 zip code spend more than 60 minutes travelling to work on public transportation? [Census 2000]

Can you determine the same information from the 1990 Census?
