lthough this site straddles the professional and personal -- indeed
the dualism constructed between these two domains is an impossible
one -- it leans heavily toward the professional. Thus, you will
find "c.v.," "conference
papers," "publications,"
"teaching," and "web
design" pages. There is also a "bio"
page in which I briefly map out how I came to be interested in questions
of language and power. A "photography"
page reflects my attempts to capture, represent, and experience
multiple ways of seeing the social and natural world.
I have a mildly active blog on blogger.com. You can access the blog at:
http://againstthemainstream.blogspot.com.
Back in the day (late 1980s and early 1990s), I used a 4-track
to compose a few songs. I figured out how to convert them from cassette tape to
MP3 using a free program o the internet, Audacity.
They are roughly cut, to say the least, though at least I can say
they come from the days before computer software made everyone an
online musician. If you're interested, you can find them, along with a bit more informaton on them, on my new page for my very old music.
