David W. Harewood is a native New Yorker who has made a home here in Denver since 2006.  After 20 years as an oil burner technician, David has moved on to pursuing his life’s work and love as pianist and improviser of jazz and classical music.   He is currently attending the Lamont School of Music at Denver University, enrolled in the Bachelor of Music as a jazz piano performance major.

In New York, David graduated from the high school of Music and Art where he played trombone and baritone horn.  Attending Northwestern University afterwards, David played the piano for the first time and exhibited a natural ability.  The following summer he attended the Berklee School of Music at which time a pursuit of music was engaged.

Since arriving in Denver, David has play at the Spiritual Projects Gala reception for the Mayor of Denver and other dignitaries.  He is also a featured artist on their most recent CD project available in October ’07.
