This is the Penrose library catalog: Your search will help you locate materials owned by Penrose Library, including books, magazines, and other cataloged materials.

Web-based Resources - To access other databases for company research, go to the Penrose Library Home Page, click on Database & Article Search, and select a category (i.e., Company Financials/Directories or Company Histories/Profiles).
To access remotely using an Internet Service Provider other than DU (such as AOL, ATT, Earthlink, etc.), just click on a database and enter your name and DU ID # when prompted. If you have any problems contact the circulation desk at 303-871-3424 to verify that you are a library registered user.

Full-Text Resource: Full-text and full-content available online. Provides full text for over 2,710 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and much more. Updated daily.

General Business File ASAP
1995-Present with backfile 1980-1994. Periodical Article Index: Some full-text and full-content text available online. Business Periodical Article Index, Company Profiles, and Investext: Covers about 1000 business publications, including the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Full-text provided to over 450 titles. Use this database to find articles on: finance, acquisitions & mergers, international trade, money management, new technologies & products, local & regional business trends, investments and banking. Includes links to Company Profiles, and to about 40% of the Investext database which provides investment bankers reports for companies and various industries. Updated monthly.

Company Information: Database providing histories, financial information, and profiles of worldwide public & private companies. Use the Business Boneyard to find out about companies that no longer exist or that have merged with others.

LexisNexis Academic
Full-Text Resource: Full-text and full-content available online. A rich resource of domestic and international news, accounting, company, legal, and regulatory information.

Mergent Online Company Information: Formerly named FISonline, this database provides 10,000+ U.S. and 12,000+ International public company information; includes financials back ten years and company histories. Multi-image formats for annual reports of thousands of currently traded public companies going back to 1996. Use Advanced Search for peer analysis among companies in the same industry.

Predicasts PROMT
1995-Present. Trade Periodical Article Index: Some full-text articles available online. PROMT [Predicasts Overview of Markets and Technology] is useful for researching companies, the products and technologies they produce, and the markets in which they compete. Includes summaries and full text from nearly 1,000 business and trade journals, industry newsletters, newspapers, market research studies, news releases, and investment and brokerage firm reports.

ReferenceUSA Company Directory. Directory of over 10 million U.S. private and public companies. Provides addresses, contact names, estimates sales and employee figures. Ability to search by yellow page heading, SIC code, geography, and size of business.

Standard & Poor's NETADVANTAGE Company, Investment and Industry Source. This database from Standard & Poor's provides Industry Surveys on 52 major U.S. industries; Corporation Records providing in-depth financial information on approximately 12,000 publicly held U.S. and Canadian corporations and 821 foreign corporations; Stock Reports for approximately 5,500 publicly held U.S. corporations; the Register of Corporations covering over 100,000 public and privately held companies; and The Outlook containing S&P's analyses of stock market trends.
