General Information.

IFs project.

Currently I'm a Senior Consultant in the International Futures Project (IFs). IFs is a a computer simulation of global systems to be used as a thinking tool for our global future. IFs was originally  developed by Professor Barry Hughes, who started building the team around it. I have been working on this project since March 2001, mainly in the development and enhancement of the user interface. When I started working with IFs, it was fully developed in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, but since 2004 we started working in parallel on a Web version developed in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET. The web version is intended as an alternative interface for a more global audience, but it is still based on the data generated by the VB60 version. Our project has been lately sponsored by Fred Pardee, and the US National Intelligence Council (NIC) among others.
