A little bit about me:
M.A., Educational Technology, University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado.
B.A.,History, B.A., Journalism, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
I have used instructional design techniques to create educational experiences in both academic and corporate settings. I have also developed face-to-face classes as well as computer and web based training incorporating a wide range of learning strategies for technical and non-technical subject matter. I am currently employed as the Senior Instructional Designer for University College of the University of Denver.
The University of Denver has a Courseware Faculty Advisory Board where facutly and staff evaluate and recommend different software tools to help facilitate teaching and learning. I am a staff advisory member representing University College.
I am also a member of the eLearning Consortium of Colorado, a consortium of Colorado educational institutions that deliver distance education. I am also a member of the eLCC conference committee which hosts a conference every year in April.
The conference provides a forum to share ideas about online learning, teaching, and delivery. The presentations benefit instructors of varying experience with online teaching. People who have never taught online before to veterans with over a decade of teaching online agree - this is a useful conference.
