Training Sessions on How to Observe and Report Variable Stars
When you are ready to go beyond sightseeing with your telescope and wish
to contribute to the knowledge base in astronomy, one of the best routes
involves monitoring variable stars. It is an ideal next step for the
serious amateur astronomer, because you can get started with your portable
telescope, a few charts and just your eyes!
We will be offering free training sessions at the University of Denver's
historic Chamberlin Observatory on the schedule (soon to be) posted below.
For further information, visit the
American Association of Variable Star
Observers.
