Task 1: Fun Grammar: This is a little grammar quiz
game which the whole class will play. There will be a (modest!) 1st,
2nd and 3rd prize for the highest scores earned.
- Open
the “Netscape” browser
- Type
in the URL : http//www.du.edu/english/fe
- Click
on Instructors
- Click
on Select Instructor
- Click

- Click

- Click

Part A
- Scroll
down the “Guide to Grammar and Writing” page and click on Subject/Verb
Agreement
- Scroll
down the page and click on first Quiz on Subject/Verb Agreement
- Answer
question one by clicking on one of the circles underneath it. Do this for
the rest of the twelve questions.
- Click
on Submit Application
- Note
down the score you and your partner made!! Score …………..
Part B
- To
go back to the original page click on CCTC Guide to Grammar and Writing
- Scroll
down the page and click on Pronouns and Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement
- Scroll
down and click on Quiz on Pronoun Usage
- Answer
questions 1-7.
- Click
on Submit Application
- Note
down the score you and your partner made!! Score …………..
Add both scores and wait for others to finish.
Task 2: E-Mail
(If you have an e-mail program on your laptop, you
can also send an e-mail directly to my e-mail address.) Otherwise:
- Open
the “Netscape” browser
- Type

- Click

- Scroll
down and click on the e-mail address sansari@du.edu
- Send
me an e-mail.
Task 3: Your Favorite Movie Search
- Type
in the URL: http//us.imdb.com
- In
the Search for title/name box, type in the title of the favorite
movie you gave to me on your index card on the first day of the class.
- Click
on Go
- Scroll
down and click on the title of the movie you are looking for.
- On
the movie page you find, scroll down to “Plots & Quotes” and click
on Plot Summary
- When
you find the “Plot Summary” page, click on File in the Menu Task
Bar.
- Then
click on Send Page. Please send it to my e-mail address : sansari@du.edu.
