Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Denver. I received my Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2023. I research American Politics with a focus on elections, American political development, geospatial research methods, and race and ethnic politics.
My research examines how federal and state policies interact with local politics to shape elections and representation. My Book project, tentatively titled, "Mapping American Authoritarianism: Race, Geography, and the Making of the Jim Crow South" examines the role played by geography and electoral institutions in bringing about the end of Reconstruction and the rise of Jim Crow.
