  • Statistical Signal Processing: Detection and estimation theory, pattern recognition, machine learning, dynamic system tracking, distributed detection, estimation, and tracking in the context of sensor network
  • Biomedical and Biological Signal Processing and Implementation: Compressive sensing, feature extraction, waveform mapping and processing, sequential Bayesian estimation and tracking of diagnostic parameters, embedded implementation of signal processing algorithms
  • Distributed Sensing and Processing: Multi-modal sensing, information fusion and processing, target detection, identification and tracking in urban environments, multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) radar signal processing, sensor scheduling in netted MIMO radar network, adaptive waveform design optimization
  • Networked Sensor Information Processing for Structural Health Management: Integrated physics-based, data-driven and knowledge-driven approaches, sequential progressive damage state estimation, and compressive sensing for efficient sensing strategy, structural health management using heterogeneous sensor network
