About myself: I came from China - a wonderful place that everyone should visit at least once in lifetime. America is also a wonderful place where one can fulfill many dreams. On the day when all my dreams are fulfilled, I will return to the place where my first dream originated.

About my family: I have two lovely daughters Karen and Emily, a marvelous reward commensurate with 100 ASME journal publications for Karen and 99 for Emily. Raising kids is always painstaking in the beginning two years, but also with lots of fun.

About my hobby: I love to play Go, an ancient Chinese board game where the two players, black and white, dance and battle to maximize the territory they control. It has a simple rule yet the strategies involved can be very sophisticated. This is the essence of our universe: complicated phenomena are governed by simple rules. I am currently an AGA (American Go Association) 6 Dan.
