Research

My research interests span several areas in mechanical engineering, with a main focus on modeling of thermal-mechanical instabilities and friction materials. I am also interested in (1) energy dissipation in MEMS/NEMS systems, (2) physical properties of multiscale particulate and fibrous materials, and (3)numerical modeling of biosystems, such as probabilistic simulation of macromolecules.
